The sultanate of Brunei (official name in Malay: Negara Brunei DarussalamIn Jawi: بروني دارالسلام in Spanish”State of Brunei, Abode of Peace”) is a country of Southeast Asia, Located northwest of the island of Borneo. It comprises two territories, separated largely by river basin Limbang and surrounded by the territory of Sarawak. Apart from its coast in the South China Sea, Is completely surrounded by Malaysia. Its capital is Bandar Seri Begawan.The sultanate of Brunei was very powerful between the ages XIV and XVI. His kingdom covered the entire island of Borneo and southwest of the Philippines. The rebellion also affected Brunei’s decision not to participate in the Malaysian Federation and was the first stage of the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation.
